एक दिन पहले हुई हिंसा के बाद हावड़ा जिले के उलुबेरिया सब डिवीजन में धारा 144 लागू कर दी गई है. जिला प्रशासन ने एहतियातन ये कदम उठाया है. हावड़ा में 13 जून तक इंटरनेट बैन कर दिया है. हिंसा के मामले में अब तक 70 लोगों को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है. इसी बीच हावड़ा में पुलिस और प्रदर्शनकारियों के बीच झड़प का ताजा मामला सामने आया है. प्रदर्शनकारी भीड़ ने पुलिस पर पथराव किया जिसके बाद पुलिस ने भीड़ को तितर-बितर करने के लिए आंसू गैस के गोले छोड़े.

Section 144 has been imposed in Uluberia sub-division of Howrah district after the violence a day ago. The district administration has taken this precautionary step. Internet has been banned in Howrah till June 13. So far 70 people have been arrested by the police in connection with the violence. Meanwhile, a fresh case of clash between police and protesters has come to light in Howrah. The protesting mob pelted stones at the police after which the police fired tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
