Politics in Maharashtra took a completely new turn on Tuesday after the Supreme Court ordered floor test in the Maharashtra assembly. Now Uddhav Thackeray will be sworn-in as the chief minister of Maharashtra after the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance declared him their leader. The pro-tem speaker has started administering oath to 288 newly elected members in the Maharashtra assembly today. The oath is being administered by newly appointed pro-tem speaker Kalidas Kolambkar. Five days after Maharashtra got Devendra Fadnavis back as the chief minister, now it will have Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as the new chief minister.
