Rajya Sabha on Wednesday approved the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, completing the legislative procedure for giving Indian citizenship to non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The Home Minister Amit Shah asserting that Indian Muslims have nothing to fear as they will not be affected by the law. The Opposition termed the bill, which was passed by Lok Sabha on Monday, as "unconstitutional", "divisive" and "an assault on the democratic and secular fabric of the nation".<br /><br />लोकसभा के बाद बुधवार को राज्यसभा में भी नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पास हो गया. बिल पर चर्चा के बाद वोटिंग के दौरान सदन में 125 सासंदों ने पक्ष में मतदान किया तो 105 ने इसके खिलाफ वोट किया. बीजेपी के सहयोगी दलों- जेडीयू और शिरोमणि अकाली दल के साथ ही एआईएडीएमके, बीजेडी, टीडीपी और और वाईएसआर कांग्रेस ने बिल का समर्थन किया.<br /> <br />संसद के दोनों सदनों में नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक पास हो जाने के बाद कांग्रेस इस बिल को कोर्ट में ले जाने की तैयारी कर रही है. कांग्रेस नेता और राज्यसभा सदस्य कपिल सिब्बल से बिल को कोर्ट में चैलेंज करेंगे करने के संकेत दिए हैं. अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने कहा है कि बिल को अदालत में सभी संभावनाओं में चुनौती देंगे.<br /><br /> #TopNews #Headlines #LatestNews
