Tom Cruise arrives in Moscow for a premiere of his latest film 'Oblivion'

American actor Tom Cruise introduced Russian audiences to his new film "Oblivion" on Monday (April 1) in Moscow, telling them to expect a visual treat from the post-apocalyptic action movie.<br /> <br />Cruise walked the red carpet in rain outside the theater, stopping to sign autographs, before he was swept past cameras to the premiere.<br /> <br />"Oblivion" envisions a world following a nuclear war, where the Earth is largely too degraded for human habitation.<br /> <br />The film was shot in different locations - Iceland and Hawaii to name two - using natural topography and lighting to create the film's atmosphere.<br /> <br />Custom props and sets were also super-imposed on real footage, creating a realistic image of floating space colonies in cloud formations and natural lighting.<br /> <br />Cruise said one of his favorite aspects of being an actor was the ability to travel and make international connections, and he was always happy to return to Russia.<br /> <br />SOUNDBITE Tom Cruise, saying (English):<br /> <br />"I
