Chairman Alan Horn announced at Cinema Con that they would be releasing Star Wars films every year starting in 2015. That's right EVERY YEAR!! The Star Wars trilogy that will start with Episode 7 will be directed by J.J. Abrams as previously announced will kick off the parade of films. <br /><br />The trilogy films will release every 2 years, and in the off years, there will be a standalone film which were announced last month. These standalone films will feature characters from the Star Wars universe.<br /><br />Clevver Movies' own Erin Darling got a chance to talk with Kathleen Kennedy and she said she wants J.J. to direct the entire trilogy, but the standalone films will likely be other directors as they did not want to overwhelm him. Yeah no kidding who can direct 6 films and have them come out back to back?
