As you've come to expect, it will feature an array of exciting indie, rare and commercial Horror movies and loads of short films from around the world, both on-line and in cinema, most of which you won't get to see anywhere else in South Africa, nor on any of the major global streaming platforms.

ABOUT THIS WEREWOLF CLIP:

With South African HORRORFEST film festival organizers Paul and Sonja not getting much time to make their own movies, they took the opportunity to immortalize some great images on screen (with the assistance of very talented friends), and use it as a promo clip for the festival.
That year the S.A. HorrorFest theme was 'Werewolf', and the initial David Cronenberg "Videodrome" idea (which was going to be a Terminatryx music video) morphed into something else, incorporating elements of that great movie, as well as John Landis classic "An American Werewolf In London", and even "Ring-u" / "The Ring".
Not for the faint hearted!

The S.A. HORRORFEST film festival was created because we made a dark short film but there was nowhere to screen it, and no-one ever bothered to create such a genre platform in South Africa - so, we took matters into our own hands! In 2004 plans were put in motion and the first event launched Halloween season 2005 at the legendary Cape Town indie cinema The Labia Theatre.
(2020 sees the 16th edition which will largely be on-line but in that pandemic forced move, will reach beyond its physical Cape Town boundaries).

This ass-kicking promo trailer for the S.A. HORRORFEST was shot and edited in under 12 hours! (in October 2009), and was expanded into a short film and Terminatryx music video for the song "Virus" (the narrative of the short expanded into the music video and band members)

Endless gratitude goes out to everyone putting in more than required to make this killer clip. Hope you all caught up on the lost sleep!
Many bits had to be sacrificed due to the time constraints, like additional transformation applications, make-up FX and some digital inclusions.
