Sidhu Moose Wala, Cremated In His Native Village As Thousands Turn Up To Pay Tribute
On May 31, thousands gathered for the last rites of Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala at his native village in Punjab. The popular singer was shot dead on May 29 in Punjab’s Mansa district. Sidhu Moose Wala was cremated at his native village Jawaharke amidst heavy security deployment, reported NDTV. Sidhu Moose Wala was dressed like a groom for his final journey. Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents were inconsolable as they took their son for cremation. In a moving gesture, the singer’s father removed his turban and held it out in his hands towards thousands gathered to pay their last respects.
