Billy Beane (Brad Pitt), general manager of the Oakland A's, one day has an epiphany: The deep-rooted conventions in Baseball are all wrong. Saddled with a tight budget, Beane is now tasked with reinventing his team to outsmart the richer ball clubs. Beane joins forces with Ivy League graduate Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) and prepares to challenge old-school traditions. He recruits bargain-bin players whom the scouts have labelled as flawed, but have game-winning potential. A story based on the book by Michael Lewis.
