India News: Jagannath Yatra kicks off in Ahmedabad today

India News: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will perform the 'Pahind Vidhi' for the 136th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, which begins in Ahmedabad today. According to the tradition, the procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baldev and their sister Subhadra begins only after 'Pahind Vidhi.'<br />Twenty CCTV cameras have been allotted to Ahmedabad Police to be placed in sensitive areas. The Ahmedabad city control room will keep 24-hour watch from the control room.
