India News: Holi Begins in Mathura

Holi might be on Thursday, but in Lord Krishna's land -- Vrindavan, Barsana and Mathura celebration of the festival of colours has already started about a week in advance.The devotees of Krishna descended on Vrindavan from around the world to take part in the energetic celebrations. The highlight of the festival remained the evening arti in Vrindavan on Wednesday as thousands of people gathered around the idol and joined the priests in singing bhajan.
