Historic day for China-Taiwan relations

China and Taiwan are having their first high-level meeting in over six decades.<br /><br />Relations between the two sides have been marked by sporadic conflicts and constant acrimony since they split 65 years ago after a brutal civil war. <br /><br />Semi-official relations were only re-established in the early ninety-nineties.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rob McBride reports from Beijing.
