Recently, the Supreme Court, giving a historic verdict, has urged the central government to make amendments to the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, a resolution was passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly to implement NRC and set up a State Population Commission, Lok Sabha passed the Energy Conservation Amendment Bill, 2022. Its main aim is to establish a domestic carbon credit market in India. UNESCO has denied the inclusion of the observatory located in the Langat Singh College in the Endangered Heritage List.

Coming to the Science and Technology section, recently, ISRO stated that the first flight of the newly developed SSLV can be considered partially successful, the world had just heaved a sigh of relief from the Covid pandemic that another new Zoonotic virus has been found in China. In Environment section, researchers from IISc have conducted a study on Peninsular Rock Agama. According to a recent IPBES report, about one million species of animals and trees in the world are on the verge of extinction.
