China's top negotiator is in Taiwan for talks to strengthen diplomatic and trade ties, as part of a landmark trip by the highest-ranking Beijing official to the island since the Chinese civil war 60 years ago.<br /><br />But his visit has attracted widespread protests in Taipei, as Al Jazeera's Selina Downes reports.
