-Trade unions have held a prayer rally at Uhuru Park in Nairobi where they vowed to continue supporting the teachers strike, that has paralysed learning in public schools since last week.<br /><br />-Police have in the meantime, warned teachers against engaging in violence even as they hold demonstrations and prayers at Uhuru Park to demand their pay increase.<br /><br />-Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has issued an ultimatum to striking health workers to resume work or prepare to lose their jobs.<br /><br />-The government has announced that manual visa applications at ports of entry into Kenya will continue until such a time the newly introduced e visa is fully operational.
