श्रीलंका में जनता के सड़कों पर उतरने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री रानिल विक्रमसिंघे ने सशर्त अपने इस्तीफे की पेशकश की है. रानिल विक्रमसिंघे ने कहा कि मैं कुछ शर्तों के साथ इस्तीफे के लिए तैयार हूं. उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार के इस्तीफे के बाद नई सरकार बननी चाहिए. सरकार के बिना देश का नेतृत्व गलत होगा. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि IMF के साथ बैठक के लिए देश का नेता जरूरी है.
