With nothing left to lose, India went into the third match of the three-match ODI series against Australia with guns loaded and came out as victors. Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. India was soon in trouble as they lost their first few wickets cheaply and it looked like they had already lost the plot. Skipper Kohli entered the fray and stabilised the Indian innings. He hit a vital 63 off 78 deliveries. The visitors were once again in trouble after losing three quick wickets. But, in stepped Hardik Pandya and unleashed his power against the Australian bowlers. He partnered with Ravindra Jadeja to take India to a par total of 302 for five after 50 overs. The Australians came in to bat and faced a similar situation as India. Skipper Aaron Finch was the only one who stood his ground and faced the Indian onslaught while wickets fell on the other end.FInch top-scored for the Aussies with a well-made 75. A late Glenn Maxwell-blitzkrieg put some pressure on India, but Jasprit Bumrah bowled him and handed India the win.
